The CPF statement of account arrived in the mailbox today.
Its surprising how the monthly deductions have accumulated to 10k over the past 4 years.
Which means that I am eligible for a HDB house loan.
Before you form any thoughts of me buying my own house anytime soon, Im sorry to disappoint you, my eager friends - I am pretty much enjoying my stay with the folks. Hehehe.
The Dad is showing weird signs of asking me to save.
Today he laid out brochures from different banks on savings account.
Like an 'experience' financial planner, he talked about interest rates and numbers.
Which of course fall on deaf ears.
Numbers are never my forte. If I could hire someone to do my accounts, I would.
Which currently mum is taking the role of my private accountant.
She even has a book that states 'Nur's finances'.
Including my insurmountable amt of debts that I (unintentionally) accumulated over the years.
Until today Ive yet to repay the 3 laptops that Dad got for me.
Yes I am such a bad daughter. I know.
Just awhile ago, I posted an entry about money.
I have to be reminded again of finances.
As much as I tried to be in denial (and hope to continue surviving with ten dollar pocket money), I knew I could never run away from this one.
Thankfully at 17, I starting saving fr my wedding.
Even when I wasnt sure of who my groom would be.
So, morale of the story.
My juniors, please2 learn a lesson from me.
Start saving because you never know you might be offered the crossover.
My students, enjoy your teenagehood. Hee. But remember to still save money. Lol.

I wanna know which secondary school all of you have been posted to.
Chances are I will see you again. Say in 2 years time.
An hour with bestie was therapy.
I think if you really care for someone, you dont mind spending time.
Thats why maybe after 8 years, we tried to initiate a fight bt to no avail.
The best we could come up with was.
"Why are you being so ridiculous?"
"Why are you being stupid?"
Which of course, will make us laugh until we cry.
I had never tell you enough.
