:: one for the lady d ::
FINALLY.
Nie Voices are ready for printing.
When I first took the role of editor for the school's biannual newsletter (knowing full well that my english needs alot of polishing up), I was (like I told D) - in my 'rembat' mode. I had to give it a shot.
Out of my comfort zone - out of the familiar malay world.
And the process had been a great one. Establishing new contacts and and unexpectedly found a boyfriend along the way (good things come when we least expect it. lol) were the things that meant more than the end product.
Though there are some areas that can be improved, Ive learnt not to be too hard on myself.
Its true you are your best critic yet at the same time its your inner motivation that drives you towards the finishing point.
Once I used to fear involvements, taking up huge responsibilities.
Now Im getting by.
And I am super super glad D is trying too.
'I know you still have that nagging fear that keeps talking to you and expect you to back out.
4 days can be a lifetime change - you'd be surprise at how different you will perceive new challenges and remember theres always a story to tell your little children.
I am super proud of you D. You will be representing Singapore on an international level. And I know you will do great. Though your absence will be strongly felt (whose gonna walk to the coffeeshop again with me? to the gym with me?), you have my support. Switch on your auto roam - Im just a call away. :p'
I am inspired, all of a sudden.
I think thats the reward for believing in yourself.
And daring to take the first step towards your dreams.
Alhamdulilah.
