:: in my world ::

so the neighbour and I spent our saturday roaming arnd bukit panjang plaza.
we grabbed a dinner and fulfilled our bubbletea cravings.
yes, i have this addiction to bubbletea. I need it almost everyday.
we talked about how pathetic it was to spend a saturday in a shopping centre thats only 10km away from our home.
but we share the exact sentiments -
how crowds piss us off easily and the need for some quiet time engaging in a good conversation with a great company. we rambled on
future career plans.
hitting adulthood.
where we will be ten years from now.

Finally headed back to my place for an indo movie treat.

She browsed through books from my reading cosy corner and we were laughing our ass off over silly poems written by a Latino writer. A book of poem that I got fr three bucks which I never bothered to read.

These days the Oprah's book comes in handy.
Quoting from an article by Martha Becks on 'You Have the Right to Remain Silent',
"disconnection is as necessary as connection for creating a happy, healthy life. When we force ourselves to connect against our heart's desire, we create false, resentful relationships; when we disconnect from the people who deplete us, we set them free to find their tribes while we find ours."

We tend to drown ourselves in work -we got entangled in the 'busy' web just to validate our self-worth.
To tell ourself and the world that we are capable.
Its an excuse for distraction.
To take away the real life issues that plague our mind.
Often we prefer to be in the imagined world than a tangible one.

I found my hide-out.
In my black n white world (n yellow lamp), this is where I seek solitude.
