:: The one? ::
Quite a few times Ive been asked or rather most of the time Ive heard of friends telling me, "I think Ive met the one."
Other versions include, "I think he/she is the one."
The ONE.
Who is he/she.Where did he/she come from. How did he/she enter your life?
In my attempt (for someone who dont have a to-do list) to list a criteria of the ONE or in my childhood dream Id called it 'the man of my dreams', I realised your ideal partner will never exist except in your dreams!
Criteria 1:
Funny
Not stupid clown funny. Just someone who can crack decent jokes and make you laugh all night long.
Criteria 2:
Smart
Not geeky straight A's academic smartie (the one with thick glasses and equally thick books). Just someone whom you can engaged in intellectual conversations (again depends on how you define intellectual) and debates on various issues.
Criteria 3:
Confident
Not an egoistic brute who knows it all. Just someone who has his own life and interests - most imprtantly who dont give a hoot on what people has to say about him.
Criteria 4:
Rich
Not 5C rich. Just someone who doesnt borrow from you.
Criteria 5:
Cute
Not cute Wentworth Miller. (Ok, cute Wentworth Miller only happens in dreams! Unless you are a Natalie Portman look-a-like). Just someone pleasant-looking whom you can never get enough of.
You can have a list with 100 criterias.
Yet, the heart can do funny things to you - like making you forget that you have a list!
Or making the object of affection fits in the bill of your ideal partner.
Love can make an unattractive person looked extra special.
Love can make a less intelligent person an Einstein.
Love can make a corny person seemed witty.
Its what the eyes and the heart detect.
And if your heart somersaulted as if its doing its gymnastic routine when you laid your eyes on him, then you know he might be the ONE.
the ONE will only appear in reality if you work extra hard to make him one.
Fate & Effort work in a team.
After all been said, have you met THE ONE?
I think I have. :)
"All men and all women are connected by an energy which many people call love, but which is, in fact, the raw material from which the universe was built. This energy cannot be manipulated, it leads us gently forward, it contains all we have to learn in this life. If we try to make it go in the direction we want, we end up desperate, frustrated, disillusioned, because that energy is free and wild." - The Zahir, Paulo Coelho
