:: Coincidence? I say not ::
Lately, I've been bumping into old friends.
Just yesterday, I crossed path with one of my old dear friend.
Was it coincidence? I think not.
I believe in destiny. People we got close to, strangers who became fast friends or even old friends that suddenly reappear in our lives had been chosen for one main reason.
To colour our life.
I admit that I am one of the many girls who could easily throw friendships when I am in a serious relationship. As I was chatting with my dear friend, it was apparent that at the end of the day when the relationship backfire its the friends that we longed for - even for a short period of time.
Compared to guys (the one thing I could never comprehend), girls have a more likely tendency to leave their friends for theur partner. Guys no matter what, has this brotherhood bond that not even a superwoman could break.
So can a girl have it all? Great girlfriends to hang out with on a Saturday night and an attentive boyfriend for keeps?
Maybe. If you are lucky.
An hour of talking and relishing good old times, I realised we girls are afraid to go back to our friends for fear that we'll be labelled as those who only find friends when in need. It might be true but friendships can never be defined. Losing touch does not mean cutting off contact. You'll be surprised that the period of losing touch could actually bring you closer to the friend that you had once 'severed ties with'.
I am really looking forward to meet-ups with my long-lost friends because I do believe most of us are on the same boat, we have gone through the hardest part of life. The part where we learn and fall, making us more aware of who we are and at the same time more tactful when in comes to dealing with any types of relationships.
The new term has started. It got me thinking again.
And its not always my brain likes to think.
