d PSLE results were announced yesterday.

and as always top students wil be interviewed by the media.

i am particularly touched by this boy's speech who topped the EM3 stream in Singapore and was apparently a resident at d Muhamadiyah welfare home.

Lost his mother at a very tender age. Father remarried. He gets angry. Ran away from home. Uncontrollable. Sent to Muhamadiyah.

But I applauded his sense of responsibility and d great amount of respect he had for his mother that in his speech, dedicated his success to his mum in TEARS!

n i m a sucker for tears. so i cried too. heee

wic is exactly d opposite reaction of the EM1 top malay boy who like normal families including me, are smiling joyfully- surrounded by family members that were equally elated n beaming in pride.

although i do slip in and out of d depression 'tunnel'.

i thank my lucky stars for ive yet to encounter true hardships.

all my life ive been blessed. had never ran out of love. had never ran out of smile. had never ran out of laughter. and through pple like that boy, i learnt that there are such thing called strength and determination.

that life does not revolve only around you.

that what God granted us is sufficient. demanding for more means being ungrateful.

because often we blame whats lacking even before we discover what good is in store for us.
