since im too poor to travel to places like Paris, London, Baghdad or even Calcutta..
I decided why nt venture little Singapore by bus-rides. N lately i prefer buses over trains because of d 'inconsistency'. Those who know me, would acknowledge the fact that I cnt stick to one routine or habit. That goes the same for travelling to everyday or everyweek places.
So today after tuition, I set out on a little 'bus adventure'.
The intention was to try a different route to get home, hopefully in d shortest time possible. But the key to successful 'bus adventure' is to actually study d road map of which stops d buses will be heading towards so as to avoid time-wasting or hazardous situations like finding yourself stranded on a very deserted road. tke fr example, if u r smart enough.. you would never ever venture bus number 67 to get to tampines unless of coz you have too much time to spare or u r desperate for a sight-seeing trip. :)
Ok back to my adventure, I am 'clever' enough to read d map n judge the distance.
Now d only variables left are the driver and the number of traffic lights ahead.
Bus rides are interesting because you could never guess what time you will reach. Unlike the trains where to and fro, you have a fixed idea of how many minutes u will reach say fr example 45 minutes frm Tampines to Boon Lay; even then you know when your train will arrive, precisely 2 minutes or 6 minutes.
Buses, however, left you most of the time wondering.
Its inconsistency lies in d driver.
179 has the craziest drivers.. Drivers eligible enough to compete in a bus race, if such race do exist.
back to my adventure. it seems today im off focus.
well, to cut the story short, I managed to reach home half an hour earlier than I used to.
spend 50 cents lesser on my fares. well. 50 cent one trip times 2 times 4 weeks. do your math!
that amount of money could feed me a bowl of bugis laksa and erm 2 nasi lemak at bedok corner. hehe.
well, d point is. my life is such a bore.
that I had to find pleasure in bus rides. oh well, i had fun. if u r crazy enough like me, do hitch on a bus ride and share me your experience. Since you not only meet crazy or sleepy or slow or ah-bengish drivers, you get to meet irritating or considerate or cool passengers aboard the bus. :)
and sis fard.. well, 'Give advice when only asked.' Its frm a book. I practiced it n at times it works. Pple want our ears more tha our words bt at times we reach a point we just want to let out the words boiling inside us. Its a show of care n concern. Thank you sis fr being such a nag. You r so funny. hahaha
